Sealed Lead Acid batteries are vibration, shock, chemical and heat resistant, making them very versatile in adverse conditions. The Sealed Lead Acid technology has a low self discharge, which means it holds a charge longer than other rechargeable chemistries such as Ni-CD or Ni-MH. The electrolyte is suspended in fiberglass mat separators which act like absorbent sponges.
