good for smaller batteries

The charger charged at 14.4 volt good for my gel cell batteries it had to get to about 1 amp charging rate to change to the float voltage of 13.4 volt which is better than most chargers with to high a float voltage that cooks batteries. I wish it would go to float voltage at 2amp because on my larger batteries it never went into float not good for them so I suggest that this charger be used for smaller batteries of less amper hour than a car battery.
